Low blood pressure and work blues

I know I should be pleased to have low blood pressure as I realise it is safer for the baby but I have passed out now three times since I got pregnant and as being stressed causes my blood pressure to drop even more I am worried I am going to pass out mid labour!!
On top of that heat makes it worse and I have been warned that delivery suites are super heated. What is that all about... I like to be cold. Sad Face
Plus work is getting on my nerves. I now am working 4 days a week but instead of having less work what I have to do is fit all my work into 4 days instead of 5, leaving me knackered. Mad
I told the midwife I was going to work to 38 weeks and she just said NO! (Having witnessed me passing out at Ante Natal class the day before - she was less than impressed. Then when I told her what my job involved, she was even less impressed.)
Anyway, just having a moan. I have changed my work leaving date so I leave a bit before 36 weeks but now I am just counting the days. Neutral

Hey hun, you will be well looked after through your delivery, to be honest i dont remember much about the heat, i do remember the midwife having a little bit of a panic about my BP as it dropped to 60/20 which apparently can happen with epidurals, cant say i really noticed i was kinda like whats all the fuss about, they will give you fluids and stuff if need be if your BP is very low.

Hope the count down to stopping goes by quickly. I'll bet your getting very excited now, also im sure a little apprehensive.

Good Luck

Thanks - I developed a blinking migraine this afternoon at work too. Last time I had one was about 5 years ago.
I think I am worrying too much.

I had really low blood pressure with Charlotte. When I went to the hospital at first they thought the pressure machine was broken and took me to another, to realise the first one was fine lol!The mw said she couldn't understand how I was upright!!!

I still get it now, I go dizzy or woozey. It's horrible if I've been bending down then get up too quick. I get pins and needles, stars in my vision and practically fall over Wink

I got told to stop work by my mw too, I was planning to work right up until my due date as i knew I'd be late, but my mw told me to stop at 37 weeks. I was a bit gutted because I only planned to take of 16 weeks maternity as that was the most I could afford but I got some quality time with my little girl before George arrived Smile.
