A Milestone... But Mama missed it!!!!

Kel is just over 16mos 1wk and we have introduced her to a potty chair and she LOVES to sit on it like this and read and she points to it and says "potty" or she brings it to our bathroom with us and sits on it and reads and says "potty". No real solid interest. Well Daddy was getting her bath ready and she took her diaper off and lifted her potty lid and said "potty" and Daddy said yes can you go potty now? Well not a minute later... there was potty in her chair!!! and he showed her and she pointed and said potty and they clapped. I of course missed the whole thing... I was with my sister. I missed a huge milestone in my baby's life!!! But we don;t know if it was a fluke or she knew what was happening. But she IS interested in the potty chair!

aww that must have been terrible to miss it!! my DD kailey is just over 22 months, and we have been trying her with the potty since she was 16 months, but she wasnt ready, so it's been on and off, but in the past week, she has been to the potty 3 times, only being asked once...

I was so proud, and she was too... she's always taking her nappy off (dirty or not!), and now she is excited to sit on her potty to actually use it properly! she had a phase that she would take off her nappy and put it in the potty after painting it with the contents! glad she grew out of that, now we just have to get it off of the walls and into the toilet!!
