Have any of you experienced bloating in the early stages of pregnancy. I seem to be really bloated. I am 9 weeks by dates, about 7 by scan. I always have a bit of a tum anyway and I do have irritable bowel syndrome (which has been playing up, effected by the pregnancy hormones). I always attributed some my tum to my fondness of beer and cider too, but am obviously not drinking so, if anything it should be going down.
Bloating in early pregnancy
Sorry if I seem to have a million and one questions, but this is such a helpful, friendly board.

I got terribly bloated and started putting on weight really quickly with Sophie, so much so that I was getting into maternity stuff by about 12 weeks! I hadn't even so much as looked at maternity wear with Jas until around 27 weeks or more (I was desperate to get into it with her being my first!)
Make sure you are drinking plenty too hun to keep your system flushed out. If you're feeling too uncomfortable, have a chat to your MW.

I too had terrible bloating literally my whole pregnancy. I looked like I was around my due date the last 6 months of my pregnancy. My face was puffy and my legs were terrible. My stomach always looked like I was carrying twins! After my first child was born and I was pregnant with my second, my sister suggested I take Lemon juice in water every morning when I woke up. So I started to take a whole lemon squeezed in a glass of warm water every morning when I first got up. This was my amazing cure! It helped with my bloat and seemed to even regulate my #2 in the bathroom. Also, drinking apple juice seemed to help keep everything moving regularly and eliminated a lot of the bloating too.
