Indeed you do. It makes the ultrasound clearer on a scan at any stage. You gonna find out the sex?

No. Baby is high enough (and big enough) to be seen without the aid of the baldder pushing it up

Good for you! If we ever have another one I won't find out either. We already have one of each and I still have loads of tiny clothes for each sex so I couldn't use practicality as an excuse to find out next time! lol

Mother says it is more of a hinder than a help.

I had to have at least a pint of water/fluid (not milk) an hour before.

Our letter said to have a full bladder also. Makes it easier for the sonographer to find and manouver baby if not in the right position, apparently.

That's what my letter said. With Charlotte she was sat in a funny position so they couldn't see a part of her spine which was important for them to check. They sent me to have a wee, walk around the hospital, have a hot drink, have a cold drink, eat chocolate and jump up and down etc to get her to move but it didn't work lol! I had to go back a week later instead Wink

No! I've just had my second scan today and I went to the loo while I was waiting to go in, which I'm sure I would have done with my other babies too. They could see everything just fine.

I had to have a full bladder at 12 weeks as the baby was small - in fact I was so desparate that the midwife rushed through it all and appologised as she said it was VERY FULL.
On the 20 week scan I was actually told not to have a full bladder and so I did not and we saw everything clearly and we found out the type too.
