Who chooses your kids name? Your family, DH or you?? We did a separate list and then we saw all the names together. I didn't like the names he chose so he let me choose! Nice of him!! Very happy

I was on my own by the time I gave birth so I picked Joseph's name myself (as he was the first boy in my mums immediate family I wanted a family name)

When I first fell pregnant and was with my ex we did discuss names but I never liked the ones he suggested.

I really wanted me and mike to choose a name we both liked together when i was pregnant with Lolly but it was a nightmare as we both had very different taste. After a while i said 'right if we can't decide together, i choose as i am going through the pregnancy and all the pain!' lol In the end though we both decided we liked Lauren. When i was pregnant with Jake i told mike he could choose if baby was a boy and i would choose for a girl ( i have to confess i knew what he liked already though and was happy to let him go with one of the two names he liked or i wouldn't have made the offer in the first place! Embarassed ). Jake was very nearly Caleb as that was the other name he liked but he changed his mind at the last minute. Had he have been a girl he would have been Millie.

I chose Crystal's name as we weren't together at the time of birth, but for this one we made a list and then compared until agreeing but i do admit we weren't keen on each others choices to begin

Jasmine's name was chosen by my ex-hubby and I before she was born. With Sophie, her name was chosen before she was born too by Jasmine and Mike and I really liked it Love

We both narrowed down our favourite names, then we are waiting to meet our little one to see which name we think suits them best, we have three possibilities that we both like so we will be happy with which ever suits him best.

Steve always said if he ever had a little girl he wanted her to be called Summer, so when we found out I was pregnant with a girl it was automatically that and so fitting for a July born baby with beautiful blonde hair!
With Denis we had it narrowed down to 2, either Denis or Ethan and on the day he was born we both said he looked like a Denis.
This time is harder as we are not finding out what we are having and it's all abit 'ifs and buts'. We only have one idea for a boy's name at the minute, purely because it's the only one we have both been able to agree on, but we may come up with more Suspect As for girly names, we don't have a single one that we agree on. There are lots I like but he says no and vice versa. I also don't know what we'll have as a middle name this time as Summer and Denis both have grand parents names but the ones who mean something. There aren't any obvious people this time but I don't want to have no middle name as the others do have them if that makes sense.

Do you know anybody who regretted about their child's name?

Neither of us particularly likeor love each others choices!

Georgia-Mae was a joint decision, although we had others picked out too

This time with just over 2 weeks left we are still not sure on a boys name!

I've always loved Harry and Mark didn't - however 6 weeks ago he said it had grown on him.

Only other two names we can both agree on at the moment are Harvey and Reuben...

It has to be a joint agreement in this house i'm afraid.

We both did. Our kids are products of the Buffy generation. We have Darla (Named for one of the vamps!) and Xander (One of the scoobies.) That said, maybe Xander should've got a vamp name too- he will not stop biting!

Having this problem at the minute, we are having a girl and simply can not agree on anything. When we had Harrison we were both happy and sure but this time not. Think you both have to really love the name

So any advice welcome

im not really sure how we came up with the names for our kids but i favoured traditional names i have no time for fancy silly names that the kids have to spell each time they say it!

When I was pregnant with the twins; We knew it was a boy and girl, and it was generally a joint descion! I had always been set on Madeline for a girl but George like Scarlett, so it was tricky but I got my way with Madeline Lily! With a boy it was harder, as we were sure at first it was going to be two girls, it was between Connor and Jayden till about the eighth month, and then out of no-where we both knew Jayden was the right one, but Connor is his middle name, so we still included it!
Now their at two months, I absoloutley love the names, and could never imagine Mad being a Scarlett or Jayden being Connor! Razz
