I just started working about 2 1/2 weeks ago. My hours are sporadic and inconsisitant as I am still training and waiting for one of the coworkers to go on mat leave. I'll be taking over her shifts. But for now, my daughter doesn't know whether or whn I'm comming or going. Whether it's going to be me or dad dropping her off at school and picking her up. I'm hearing of some behavioral fluctuations in her and she has become quite edgy and moody.
Working is vital for my husband is on E.I and I was just recieving child tax benefiets. Even after my husband finds work, he expects me to continue working. I need the job experience anyways.
But is this a good idea for my family to have me working these inconsistant hours?

Every beginning is a little bit difficult. She misses you for sure. I think you just need time to adjust your time. Even with shifts you family can get used to that. Believe me. I've been through this in the past and today my sister is. Just need time. Flower

i would definately say stick with the job, especially if u need it or want it. She will adjust. just make sure she understands why you are not home, and when you get your set roster, she will understand it more. you said she is in school, so it shouldnt affect her too much, but if she is confused, just help her to understand that you need the money to buy her the stuff she needs. She will come around in her own time, just stick with it, and if she doesn't adjust after you get set times and hours, maybe discuss it again then.
