Dry nappies at night for a few nights now

Hi everyone

Quick question. Sophie has had pretty much dry nappies at night now for around 3 nights. She sleeps right through from about 8pm - 5am or so. Usually, she has, what we like to call, a 'quarter pounder' in the morning of wee but the last 3 nights she's had pretty much a dry nappy.

She is BF and feeds every 2 hours during the day solidly and has plenty of very wet nappies in the daytime. Poo and wee is all fine and I've checked her fontenelle (sp?) and it's not indented so she's not dehydrated. She is bright and happy and plays a lot during the day.

I was wondering if she's getting thirsty at night and hence the dry nappy but she doesn't wake up to ask for a feed and in the morning she wakes me up by happily 'chatting' to herself and I feed her straight away then. Her next nappy after her first feed is usually a huge wet one!

Any thoughts? I don't recall this with Jasmine but that was a long time ago! Embarassed

No experience of my own but apparently as a baby I was the same. My Mum put's it down the the midwife telling me that I need to let Mummy and Daddy sleep at night. I put it down to the fact that I like my sleep and I have never needed much water / drink to stay happy.

It seems to me to be a blessing that she sleeps and stuff and is happy but if you are concerned (as I am sure I would be) them it is best to ask.

Yay baby!!! Letting Mummy sleep. Very happy

If she's okay during the day I don't see anything wrong. If she really needed something at night she would wake up. You can have hv opinion about it.

Wow, Krista, I'm glad to hear there's nothing to worry about with it, I think maybe the opposite, you should be excited then that maybe she will be an early and easy potty trainer! Very happy
