Are you forced to stay in? Kieran loves walks out, even just to the postbox or a run around the park regardless of th weather! There should be plenty of toddler groups etc in your area if thatssomething to interest you>
If you are inside I have a craft box which we get out for short intervals, chalk, playdough, pencils and paper, stickers and stencil! Thats always fun and keeps his attention!
Cooking (baking) is a good one if you dont mind the mess afterwards!
I had loads of ideas when i started typing - now theyve gone lol!
If all else fails - a packet of quavers and Cbeebies!
I go insane when I'm not around the children.
I ask my
DD to choose a film or the kids if I have my family around and then we have popcorn, movies. You can make origami with them. My kids like it a lot.
If we have to stay in all day I get the kids to help me make fairy cakes or short bread biscuits, both of which take only a few minutes but the kids get really excited.
I'll make them a 'picnic', with a selection of grapes, strawberries, crisps, sausage rolls, or whatever else I have in and put a dvd on for them.
We'll have a book marathon, they choose a pile of books and we sit down together reading them all.
The kids make cards for people, even if it's just for when daddy gets home.
