A "first" for Aaralyn and I today...

Just now for the first time, I've just let Aaralyn go with some one who is not family or atleast like family to us... My friend Ti and who is her friend Cortez's mom invited her to come over to play this afternoon and then go to Chuck E Cheese for a birthday party for Cortez's cousin these evening.

Aaralyn was very nervous about me not being with her and I'm feeling kinda bad about it (especially because I've been so excited at the prospect of some free time)... she was a little teary just now when I left her with Cortez's mom (she lives in one building over from us so we met us on our walk over there)....

I hope she has fun and isn't to sad, shy or nervous

and my gosh I can't "speak/type" today

I remember that feeling, it is scarey and nerve racking!!

Im sure Aaralyn will be fine once she gets to Cortez's. And you will be fine to, enjoy your me time and try not to worry about Aaralyn too much.

I remember when Mikey left the house on his own for the first time ever to post a letter in the letter box at the end of the street, until he got back we wanted to just run outside and make sure he was ok.

I'm sure she'll be having a good time, Mikey used to get upset being left at playschool but as soon as he couldn't see us he was fine.

Aww, bless her heart. I am sure you will find she was fine within 5mins of you walking out of the house hun! She will have a fabulous time with her friend. I just hope you can relax enough to have a great time spending some time on your own!! Let us know how she got on hun Xx

You are right, my friend said she's been having a blast and just fine... Alex, Chuck E Cheese's is a place where a kid can be a kid HAHA that's the slogan lol, it's a fun place with games and pizza and tunnels and ball thingies and such... Where I had Aaralyn's birthday party for her 5th.

Thanks hun, she did!! Although about an hour after she got home she complained of a tummy ache and then shortly after that threw up all her pizza and cake that she had at the party She was fine after that.... and from the looks of it she ate ALOT of pizza and cake

It's a big step for both of you but it's one of those things that when you've done it once you'll both happily do it again! A big stage in a child's development too! Glad Aaralyn had fun, even if it did have repercussions a little later...

Aww bless her. Both of mine would eat food like that until they popped if i didn't stop them! haha. Sounds like Aaralyn made the most of her 1st time out with friends and without mummy! So glad she had a good time hun Xx

thanks!! she must have really had a good time and wore her little self right out, she's been tired all day, not been sick any more though.... she's laying on the couch watching 101 Dalmations (the non animated version) at the moment... hopefully I'll get a little nap out of her and get some cleaning done (or some doing nothing done )
