First scan nervs!!

Hi all,
Went to my first midwife visit yesterday. It went great she was lovely she also booked us in for our first scan in 2 weeks we cant wait but theres a little thing in my head worrying incase theres nothing there does everyone feel the same way with there first or is it just me?

we havent been for first midwife visit yet (not until 27th Jan) but im feeling the same way as you, Im really worried about miscarrying, or there being an empty sac on the screen.


I suppose this must be normal but I cant wait for you to get some more replies cos it might ut my mind at rest a little too!

Hi there girls! I just wanted to help put your mind at rest. I did loads of pregnancy tests with both of my children. I also had to have an early scan with DD as i was spotting for a while and they wanted to make sure all was fine. Which it was. We could see our little 'Button' on the screen with a tiny flickering heartbeat However when i went for the Standard 12 week scan i was still convinced there would be nothing in there even though i had already seen the baby I didn't have to have an early scan with DS but again at the 12 week scan i still thought, maybe i have imagined it all, and i am going to look so silly when they say:- 'errrr you aren't pregnant!' lol Still, again there on the screen was our little 'peanut' All i can say to you is in my experience (and most of my mummy friends experiences)it is completely normal to feel this way.
I really hope all goes great with both your pregnancies, congratulations to you both and fingers crossed in 9months time you will both be cuddling your beautiful little ones! Xx
