Tomy Walkabout Premier Advance monitor - have you got one?

I've just ordered one of these and I see mixed reviews whether you look at the comments on Mothercare (mostly good) or Amazon (mostly bad). I guess all of these have good and bad points but I wondered if anyone has one and could let me know how you're getting on with it.

I've ordered it from Amazon and they were so quick with the dispatching I couldn't cancel it having read their reviews. Mike says ignore them and go with it and see how we like it as we were going to buy it having seen the Mothercare reviews anyway. We drove to Mothercare but couldn't park anywhere so I did it online!

Be interested in any thoughts or recommendations

I had a walkabout not a premier, but it had the lights on it and I found it was great.

The only thing I found was sometimes in our old home (we used to live in a back to back) it would sometimes pick up a neighbours child up faintly, they obviously had the same monitors. We used it not so long ago again after we looked after a friends baby and it worked fine.

We had one and hated it, if it was more than 15 meters away from the monitor near the child it wouldn't work, it used to pick up radio signals as well, you don't exactly want Chris Moyles to be coming out of a monitor.

I have those, have had them for 4 months now, and have had no problems with them, there is a distance from the bedroom to the livingroom and i hear him really well if he starts crying

I have got the monitor now and must say it seems absolutely fine. Signal is clear and all the gripes I read about on Amazon's feedback seem not to be the case or irrelevant. Have to say I'm pleased with it Thanks for comments folks!
