Well it's a good thing you got yourself checked for the condition then hun! It is good news you will be getting monitored and you have a date of induction too, at least you won't be sat at home wondering will it be today? haha
As for the other bit, i will not lie to you and say labour doesn't hurt as it definitely does, but, and it's a BIG but. It is such a different pain to anything else and you know there is a fantastic reason for it. If i am honest, i never felt i couldn't cope with it and it wasn't as bad as i was expecting after all the horror stories i had heard!

) I had a long labour and emergency section with
DD and a longish (but shorter than
DD) labour with
DS and a VBAC delivery. I would say don't be a martyr and if you feel you ned drugs have them. I would also reccommend getting yourself a Tens machine. Either hiring one or buying one (some hospitals even have a few on site, although there is no guarantee you will get one as they may be in use already on a busy day) I used a tens for mine (you have to use it from the start) and although i wasn't sure it was working at first it soon when straight back on after i had removed it. It was great and definitely helped take the edge of the contractions. I had no other pain relief (except a tad of gas and air, although more to bite on the mouthpiece than actually inhale

lol) Plus i know it sounds corny but the pain really does fade into the background when you have your beautiful bundle in your arms

You will do just fine hun, honest! Xx
