I tripped and fell on my bump outside on the hard concrete on the way taking Robbie to school on Thursday. Everyone zoomed over to see if I was okay then noticed I had a huge bump so an ambulance was called.
Was taken straight to hospital cos my bump was feeling really numb and I couldn't breathe properly and was really shakey.
Was checked over and had my urine and blood checked as I'm rhesus A+ they wanted to keep an eye on it incase I would need an anti-d injection.
Thankfully today my 2nd result came back clear so no injection needed.
I was having braxton hicks in hospital but they weren't registering on the CTG machine but whenever I did have them, Harry's heartbeat dipped. They wasn't concerned about it as it wasn't dipping by much.
They also measured my bump and I'm measuring between 38 & 40 weeks (depending on who measured me) so there was discussions about getting me a GTT and a growth scan, I was supposed to have a scan on Monday but it's not in my notes so no idea what's happening now
The midwives were concerned about the placenta coming away cos of the fall, another reason I was kept in, but as I didn't have any pain, bleeding or discharge I was okay.
Another reason they kept me in cos my BP was quite high and I was getting headaches, so more blood was taken to rule out Pre-Eclampsia...it was certainly all go I can tell you.
Anyway I was bored sh*tless in there, I was on strict instruction to rest and not leave the ward, I did once and got told off
They only bought me some snacks and a new TV card before they left too so they came back with me and will go back to hospital with me when I have Harry!
At first I was in the labour ward but seeing as there was no signs of me going into labour they moved me to the maternity ward.
It was lovely Thursday night and Friday night as there was no babies in the room I was in but yesterday during the day 3 came in...I was glad to come home cos I can't sleep in a noisy ward! I felt like an intruder too cos I had no baby LOL.
The main thing is that Harry is okay and so am I apart from feeling a bit stiff and achey and niggly.
This post is prob a bit muddled up, I'm pretty drained...hospitals always make me feel like that.
