Hello ladies,

I was just wondering i'm due in March and anyone due around me bought anything for the baby yet? and i was also wondering how many packs of size 1 diapers should i buy, i've already bought 2 packs and want to know if i should get a few more before the baby gets here this will be my 2nd so i won't be having another baby shower and i just want to be fully prepared which i know it's impossible to be fully prepared but at least to the point i don't have to run into town everyday because i need or have forgotten to get something
thanks for the help girls.

I have bought some sleepsuits and a pack of nappies for hospital but am considering buying the eco-friendly fabric nappies rather then the disposable ones for when we get home.

see i'm not sure how many i should buy i'm using disposable diapers though. i'll pack some obviously to take to the hospital with me but i'm semi sort of living in the country and town is about 15-20 minutes. i just want to be prepared this time and i've got about 14 weeks left now and it's just flying by so getting anxious but want to be ready too.

Tbh i probably wouldn't buy too many size 1 nappies as they grow out of them soooo fast. I would probably buy maybe 3/4pks and then buy a few pks of size 2 as these start from around 7lb (i think) anyway and that way you won't waste any of the size1 if your little one grows fast or is a good size when born? Oh and welcome buy the way I'm mandy, mum to Lauren and Jake Xx

I'm doing good on the pregnancy just getting very anxious now, been counting down the weeks for a while and now i'm finally under the 100 day count..lol mind you i haven't been counting the days still too many left....lol Hayley is getting very excited she talks about how she'll rock the baby to sleep help give her soother to calm her and just keeps asking me to go wash the baby clothes so we can put it away. we've been doing a lot of shopping for the baby and she's just exstatic about it. i'm sure she'll adjust just fine but just want to make sure so my hubby will be taking a week off when i have Alyssen to help me and to help Hayley adjust to the new life in the home. how's your pregnancy going hopefully well. do you know what your having yet?

Sounds like Hayley will be a great big sister hun. How old is she? can remember feeling worried about how my DD would cope with becoming a big sister but it wasn't as bad as i was expecting, and wasn't too jealous at all. I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes really well. I see you have already piced a name for your bunmp too. Nice choice Very happy We didn't know what we were having either time so we couldn't choose a name for definite. My DD was Button, and my DS was peanut before they were born! lol Xx

Hayley is 3 she'll be 4 in July not long after the baby is here. i hope it's easy for her to adjust and that she doesn't feel jealous or left out or anything. we are going to do our best to let her help as much as we can but there is only so much a 3 year old can help with too though...lol but i'm sure we'll manage just fine she'll be going to school in september too though and she's looking forward to going she can't wait it's so cute. well with hayley we didn't know what we were having so we just kept calling her baby the whole time. but had names picked for boy or girl depending what she was.
thanks i hope the rest of the pregnancy goes well too. i'm getting so anxious to see if this daughter will look like me because Hayley is a spitting image of her father. but either way as long as she's healthy we'll eb happy.

Aww, i'm sure she will make a great big sister and it won't take her long to adjust. It is lovely she is soo excited about going to school! Lolly was the spitting image of her dad when she was born but as she has grown she now looks much more like me when i was younger. Or so everyone tells me. Jake however is the absolute spitting image of his father. When mike holds him it is like looking at him and a mini version! My friend has two daughters too. Her first one is sooo her double and the second looks just like her dad, it is soo funny. They look nothing like each other. Dd1 is blond and very small boned and petit while dd2 is dark haired and chubby! lol As you say though, as long as they are healthy it really doesn't matter what they look like! Xx

Lots of babies have allergies to nappies, so don't buy too many, alot of people bulk buy one brand only to have to throw them all away. Why don't you buy biodegradable nappies if you wont use cloth nappies.
