you are supposed to feel 10 movements a day. I remember getting to 36 weeks and on my sisters wedding day I wasnt aware of any movements. I went to MW next day and I was put on a ctg monitor and had to press abutton everytime I felt something. In the 15minutes I was hooked up I had over 15 movements, they said I was just busy and hadn't been awarew of him moving.

If you are worried phone the MW team and tell them you usual pattern and how you aren't feeling anything

I remember both mine used to have quiet periods. I would drink very cold water or I would have a mug of tea and put it next to my bump to see if they would shift (be extremely careful not to burn yourself or spill). I found that worked.

If you are worried though hun, I would speak to your mw, she may suggest you go to be checked out at hospital. They will trace the baby and give you a little button to press when you feel baby move. They then check the trace to check everything is OK. I had this done with my first after a couple of episodes of bleeding at 36 and 40 weeks.

I agree with the other ladies, just have ur mw check you out and they will moniter you with button and check movements. Better to be safe. I hope everything is ok, and try not to worry. [although I know that is really hard.] Flower

i think its normall for baby to slow down abit now as they run out of room

it is just 10 movements a day - thats not at diferent times they can be all done in the space of a minute !!

im sure if you lay on your bed with some peace and quiet you can put your mind at rest

I remember Sophie going a bit quieter towards the end. I often thought I'd not felt her move but I was busy at work and would then sit down quietly with a drink and relax (usually prodding my tummy to wake her up Embarassed ) and then count the movements. I could easily then get to 10 no problem at all.

If you have any concerns hun, you should either speak to your MW or call the antenatal at your hospital and they will monitor you.

Hope all is well Kiss
