jami is usually in the house at the latest 4.15pm after school. tonight she wasnt here at half 4. i started to major panic. i called the school to see if she'd been kept behind for something and all i kept getting was a blooming answer machine. by 4.45pm james dad and stepmum were out in the car looking for her and james left work early. 5pm i called the police. the worst moment of my life. i had to give a description of my daughter. omfg noone should have to do that.

james tried calling the school and got the answer machine too. he plays cricket with one of the teachers at the school so called him and he gave james the deputy heads number. he called and the deputy head who said there was a school trip to york theatre.

ive never felt such a prat. jami went to see 'blood brothers' i never wrote this on my calender, and i put everything on my calender and she didnt remind me this morning. so there i was going through what no mother should have too and shes watching a bleeding play.

the police were brilliant and i just kept apologising lol but omfg!!

Oh you poor thing.
I used to be a PC and one of the best things was when a parent called you to say that their missing child was actually under the bed or over the road or on a school trip.
I hope she enjoyed the play though. Very happy

What a panic you were in and understandable but what a funny outcome Very happy

I used to have a good memory for dates, etc until recently. Now, if it's not on the calendar, I have no idea what is going on! That might be just age though Wink

Jami was like 'But i did tell you mum this morning' PMSL!!!!! i blame my age lolol. i feel a right numpty though

she watched 'Blood Brothers' and enjoyed it although said the end was a little too brutal for her. i didnt know 12yr olds went to see stuff like that. i would have preferred Cinderella at that age lolol
