The conference with Aaralyn's teacher went great! She got an awesome report card all good grades, no bad ones or ones that show needing improvement
Her teacher did mention that sometimes she has to tell Aaralyn things a couple times before she does it, she said it's not a disrespect thing, but more that Aaralyn is a "day dreamer".... this is something that I see at home too.... just something for us to keep an eye on for now. I'm not sure if it's that she's so imaginative that sometimes she goes into her own little world or that she has comprehention problems, the teacher does not think it's the latter at this point because she can read a story and then ask a question about it and Aaralyn always knows exactly what the story was, characters, ect.....
She told me Aaralyn writes better than any of the other kids in her class and she is working with the writing specialist/teacher to keep her at the pace that she is going rather than where the rest of the class is now

that made me very happy to hear!
She said that Aaralyn gets along well with all of the other kids and they all seem to like her and there are no social issues at all

but she also pointed out that sometimes when some of the other kids are trying to be social when the teacher is trying to get everyone's attention Aaralyn is always one of the first to quiet down and give her attention to the teacher. It's more with directions that she has to be told more than once on.
So, sounds like she's doing very well and is right were she should be on everything! Her teacher also pointed out that she is an amazing little artist and finds it very amusing and great that Aaralyn takes her art work really, really seriously
I don't know about the job thing, I don't think they were looking for someone who is not expert in IT stuff
