Oh no! I've just found out that you're not supposed to use a hot water bottle while pregnant and I did a few weeks ago, when I was about 8 or 9 weeks. I'm nearly 17 now. But I put it on my bump in bed going to sleep, I used kettle water but it has a fluffy cover on it. Do you think I've done any damage?!! Crying

i used to use hot water bottles and electric blanket whilst i was pregnancy in the early stages when it was cold

if your worried hun maybe ask your midwife for her opinion on it i shouldnt think it would do any harm though

I have never heard that you arent to use a hot water bottle when pregnant!!

Ask your MW next time you see her.

I used one both times with mine...in fact I was told to use one by the mw for my back ache, just obviously not to have it roasting hot.

I'm sure you will be fine hun xx

Yep i was advised to have a hot water bottle for back pain too, and pain during labour. I think the main reason they advise not to use them too hot is because it raises your temperature, which can raise babies temperature. Like the same as not having a really HOT bath while pregnant hun. I very much doubt you have done any damage at all Xx

I loved it even then... I didn't sleep well when I was pregnant so Aaralyn kept me entertained with her jumping around in there!
