my being cold has now been explained

I have been in bed most of the day with flu symptoms

I have a temp, full of the cold, tired, yukky stomach and I ache all over

funny thing is, I am supposed to be getting my flu jab on Thursday

thats always the way lol, i used to get booked in for my flu jab each year and also get a cold or something either the week before or after haha, hope you feel better soon tho

just woken up again (after putting Joseph to bed) and having a hot ribena. I hope I feel better tomorrow, dont want to spent the 2nd week of my holidays in bed.

Aww hun, it's horrible isn't it. I have been yucky today too. Think i have caught Lolly's cold. DF has started feeling poorly tonight aswell. Top it all off, i fell off the step in the garden carrying a load of washing and have twisted my ankle, badly bruised my back and landed heavily on my wrist which now aches like hell. I even managed to bang my head on the washing pole in the garden. What a clumsy womble i am eh! Hope you feel better soon hun, lots of rest and relaxation and plenty of fluids if you can. Xx

I feel awful today. Been having the horrors during the night and had a raging temp.

My peak flow has dropped from 650 to 300 going to the doctors tomorrow morning because I cant breathe.

Oh hun, that sounds horrible. Lolly has had temp like that too. Must be a particularly nasty bug going around. I hope you strat to feel better soon hun Xx

I have been to see the silly doctor, who kept changing his ming about what he would do and what was wrong with me. I don't even feel he gave me a proper examination- told me he could hear ne wheeze (well there wouldnt be as I had doped up on my inhalers and had only walked from the surgery carpark, about 20 steps)

He decided that I have some sort of flu virus and has given me steriods for my asthma. I have to go back Friday if I still feel awful and he will sign me off work and give me some antibiotics to help shift it.

Sounds awful hun, could he not of signed you off work today? He sounds a bit wishy washy? I hope the steroids help for your asthma? Fingers crossed you will be feeling much better by friday hun! Xx

The flu is horrible, but antibiotics wont do a thing, a doctor should never prescribe anitbiotics for anything but bacteria.

Normally yes. But I am a severe asthmatic and run a high risk of developing complications so if it hasnt cleared I will get the antibiotics to help prevent me taking something worse.
