School excitement!!
Aaralyn was as happy as can be to get up and ready for school today! The kindergarten classes are going on a field trip to a farm with a petting zoo! Tomorrow schools are closed for teacher meetings and such so her after school care will be open all day for the kids that are in that program and they are also doing a field trip! They'll be going to a science center and Aaralyn is really, really excited about that one!! I wish I could go too!! They have another one on November 4th and I am putting in to be off that day to be a chaperone!
Oooh sounds like great fun hun, no wonder Aaralyn is so excited. Sounds like she is having the time of her life! I reckon you will too on the next trip tammy. I hope you will be allowed to take piccies? Xx
To be honest, I have never been to a petting zoo! I know that sounds bad, but I really haven't! I've been to a zoo but never fed or pet the animals. Sounds like they're going to have so much fun! I just can't imagine kindergartens at a petting zoo, wouldn't they be terrified of the animals? I think you should go on the upcoming field trip, it will be fun and you can take pictures so that Aaralyn will always have those memories!
thanks girls, I know she is going to have a great time but she was a bit disapointed that I couldn't go on either of the trips this week but she knows I'm gonna try really hard for the next.... I really wish I didn't have to be a "full time work away from home mom" sometimes! But the kid needs a roof over her head and some food in her belly I guess
the only way I can make sure that happens is to work for it!
Soso, I don't think the kids will be scared of the animals at this age, I think it's gonna be the best part for them (or maybe that's just my "big kid" thinking, I LOVE petting zoos LOL!! especially the goats!!)
I'll have to find out about taking pics. I never had a problem with it in her pre-school but it could be different with grade school now
...... you know I'll get some of her atleast anyway on the next trip!
I've just sent the directer of "after school care" an email asking about how to become a chaperone for the next trip, hopefully I'll get a response today otherwise I'm calling her! I want to be first on the list!!!

School trips are such fun for kids. Jasmine has been on quite a few and is off in a few weeks to an open air museum where they wear traditional Victorian costume - and all the school kids are dressing up too!
I'll see if I remember to take a photo!

That sounds very cool! I betcha Jasmine's going to look extra beautiful in her Victorian garb! I hope she has a great time and I'd love to see some pic is you get any!!
I remember Mikey's first school trip, it was to Thomas the Tank Engine land, Frank went with him, he cried because he found out Thomas isn't really alive. I havn't been able to go on any of Mikey's school trips, which I don't like, but sometimes needs must. His next trip is to a wild bird centre.
