Talk about a right madam!! Tounge Out Aaralyn's been telling me she's too sick to go back to school (she's not, and she did go back today!)...

I told her that I have a note from the Dr saying that she can go back to school... wanna know the response I got out of her little fresh 5 year old mouth?? "I don't know what dr you've been talking to but MY dr didn't say I should go back yet!!" Shocked picture it now, hands on hips and head just bobbing away as she said it. I wasn't quite sure how to react to that so I told her that we would be having a serious talk about her attitude and the way she speaks to me lately. Something is getting taken away tonight, I'm just not sure what yet and she is going to know that that kind of talk to me isn't gonna fly!! Mad

lol, sorry tammy. I can just picture her little face all serious as she said it! I don't know where they get these things from? Lolly has an attitude already, she wanted a drink the other day and i told her we had run out of what she wanted so she said "well go to sainsbury's (grocery store) and get some more mum!" cheeky madam! I hope you have a good chat and Aaralyn learns from her little faux pas, Tounge Out hehe! Good luck hun Kiss

Candra's been the same way since last year. She also makes up excuses to stay home from school.
Candra shakes fingers at me and is all, like, "Moooomm, what did I say? We can't go outside cause it's raining and I'll catch a cold and that'll make me cry. cough couch(faking of course) Mad
Or lately it's been "Mom, you stay out of my room. IT"S OFF LIMITS. NO MOMMY'S ALLOWED" She even tried making a sign to stick on her door.
It's actually funny in a way because all I could make out was 'mom'.

Sorry Tam but that is funny Very happy However, you're right, a bit of a talking to never hurt and loss of a favourite item for a week will help the message sink in.

I remember I used to tell Jas not to run up and down stairs as she'd hurt herself. She got stuck outside once and I ran downstairs and caught my finger on the banister and it dug my ring in and started bleeding. I got to the door (which was just stiff to open from outside) with my finger bleeding saying I had to get to hospital to get the ring removed as it was swelling. Little madam just stood there with her hands on her hips and said "see mummy, if you run up and down stairs you will hurt yourself" Cuckoo She was about 5 at the time the cheeky devil!
