3/5 engaged and tummy ache

Whoooo, went to the consultant today and baby's head is 3/5 engaged and I've got tummy ache again. Here's hoping something will happen in the next week

I'm booked for a sweep in a week's time if no sign of little one and if that doesn't work, they'll induce me on 17th October (but I hope I don't have to wait that long).

I know with 2nd babies heads can engage and disengage but keep it all crossed for me!!

This is getting so exciting!!! Sounds like baby girl might be trying to get you ready for her big appearance!!

How come they are doing this before your due date? Or have I just completely missed a previous thread? (which is very possible knowing me

Woohoo, fingers crossed luvvies. I really hope you both have your little darlings very soon! Can't wait to hear your good news! Oh and i hope this gives you hope but Jakes head did not engage more than 2/5 until after my waters were broken while i was in labour! So you are doing much better than i did hun Xx

Congrats anyway, not long now

It's because I'm 42 and the risks of potential problems with little one increase after due date so to be safe, they don't want to let her go over at all. The sweep will be almost 39 weeks and if that doesn't work, I'm booked for induction 2 days before her due date the end of that week.
