Welcome first of all
Sorry to hear of your MCs. I am also 42 and have an almost 10 year old daughter and am now pregnant with No. 2

I had a MC last year at 8 weeks then managed to fall for this little one 4 months later.
I used temperature method as I can only do natural family planning (pill, etc didn't agree with me). I also had a 28 day cycle and found I was ovulating between day 12 and 15 so you might want to look a little earlier if you're
TTC. You can also buy ovulation kits from Boots but I have to admit I didn't do that. We just made sure we made love when I had 'unsafe' days.
I would recommend a book called Fertility by Dr Elizabeth Clubb and Jane Knight (ISBN 0-7153-0424-0). It's quite old now but is great for charting methods. It covers temperature, mucus and cervix positioning which, when combined, are great indicators of fertile days.
If you need to know anything else, drop me an IM.
Good luck and I hope we hear some good news from you soon
