I cannot help you with temps and the ovulation part but just wanted to welcome you and wish you luck!

I am Becs, 26 and have a DD who is 4.5. I've been with DP Mark for 9 years and he's 45. We are currently expecting baby no.2 (i'm 16 weeks on Sunday). I too have had two miscarriages, both in 2006, i was 13 weeks with twins when i had my second mc - so this pg has been a little daunting! xxxxx

Sorry to hear of your MCs. I am also 42 and have an almost 10 year old daughter and am now pregnant with No. 2 I had a MC last year at 8 weeks then managed to fall for this little one 4 months later.

I used temperature method as I can only do natural family planning (pill, etc didn't agree with me). I also had a 28 day cycle and found I was ovulating between day 12 and 15 so you might want to look a little earlier if you're TTC. You can also buy ovulation kits from Boots but I have to admit I didn't do that. We just made sure we made love when I had 'unsafe' days.

I would recommend a book called Fertility by Dr Elizabeth Clubb and Jane Knight (ISBN 0-7153-0424-0). It's quite old now but is great for charting methods. It covers temperature, mucus and cervix positioning which, when combined, are great indicators of fertile days.

Just wanted to say welcome to JP I hope you manage to conceive again soon. Day 15 of your cycle would be around the 4th of october but it is possible foryou to have ovulated earlier or later than this date. I know it is easier said than done when you are desperate to conceive but i would just have fun trying and relax and try not to stress as much as possible and i'm sure it will happen. You can buy ovulation tests as the above post says but i do think these are expensive and can make you even more stressed although they can have their place. I found one of the biggest indicators was mucus tbh. I also tuned into my body for a few months before we started trying and found that when i was ovulating i had a slight ache low down in my tummy. I hadn't ever noticed it before i started TTC but was definitely there at the same time every month! Xx
