Slight scare last night

Started to bleed a small amount so rang NSH Direct who got the doctor to phone, after asking a series of questions they were happy to leave me overnight and got my doctors surgery to contact this morning.
So had an emergency scanned booked and all is ok and due to sizes they say im about 6 weeks not seven.
Apparently its normal to bleed early on in pregnancy and can just be the bodies way of getting prepared for the pregnancy ahead

you poor thing - that must have been terrifying! Kiss

How are your symptoms? Since yesterday I have gone from feeling very sick to throwing up at work, at home, in the middle of the night... Oh my goodness, this is not a great stage!

So when are you due now then, coz I thought we were around the same time.

Glad everything was ok hun. Very happy I bet you were terrified. I was at my early scan when i was expecting Lolly (for the same reasons as you) all was fine though, i'm sure you will sail through the rest of your pregnancy hun! Xx

How long did it last and how often was it?

the blood for me was brownish but tissuey (sorry thats all I can explain it as). It was heavyish for a few hours, then more came away over the next couple of days but was mainly spotting. I had a dull pain in my right side, so i was sent for a scan immediately as they thought I was maybe having an ectopic, it just turned out to be a cyst and the bleeding was caused by a 'bruise' in my womb, almost a bit like a implantation bleed.

I was signed off on the sick though for a couple of weeks and told to put my feet up to be on the safe side.

Hope everythings OK xx

It lasted on and off for a few weeks for me, the blood was a brownish colour and it was quite light, it got heavier at stages but then much lighter again. I didn't have any pain really? Just the odd ache but i think that may have just me being a bit hyper sensitive as i was so worried? I hope the bleeding hasn't got any worse for you hun? Xx

I just had a horrible scare yesterday! I had extreme pain on one side and was feeling really sick. So that's how my work found out(!) coz I was in floods of tears thinking it was an ectopic pregnancy and my headteacher was lovely and said go straight to docs. So I did and they sent me emergency to hospital coz they thought it might be ectopic too. After hours of waiting and being prodded I had an ultrasound and saw my beautiful tiny baby, in the right place with a heartbeat doing very nicely!! Oh the relief!! I didn't know how strongly I felt about it til I could lose it - I was hysterical. They did find a cyst as big as my ovary on my right one tho, and said it'll be ok just take paracetamol as they'd normally operate but it'd be too risky with tiny baby. I'm happy with that, I'm just so relieved! Very happy

Going back to work on mon - there's no keeping any secrets when you work in a primary school!!

Lol, this was more or less what happened to me too hun! Glad everything is OK though, I was only 5 weeks so I had to wait another 2 before they could properly detect a heartbeat (at 5 weeks george still had his egg sack!).Take it easy hun, I was told my cyst would disapear at 12ish weeks, but it didn't, and just to warn you, it does hurt more as you get bigger (sorry Sad Face ). xx

I'm glad it wasn't anything serious.

I know what you mean, we had a scare last weekend with light spotting but went to A & E just to be on the safe side.
We had our 12 week scan on tuesday and all is well.
I was so amazed to see the baby's heart beat Smile And then it started to swing its arms and legs about. Very happy
