Sisler High School locked down

A lockdown at Sisler High School Friday afternoon kept students after class, after officials received a report of a bicyclist outside the school with an unspecified weapon. A Winnipeg School Division official said the lockdown began around 3:30 p.m. after someone in the community saw the bicyclist with a weapon.

There was no report of a weapon seen inside the school, said the official.

The official said the lockdown began when students were in the process of leaving, and some were brought back into school.

The precise number of students affected was not known.

Police said the lockdown ended around 4:30 p.m., with no arrest reported.
