Aaralyn has been being driven to school this week because until we move, we aren't in the bussing district. Well, I've been walking her in the last 2 days and this morning she says to me, in a whisper "mommy, do you think tomorrow you could just let me get out of the car and walk in by myself because that's how the rest of the kids do it" Love

So, I guess tomorrow she will be walking up the path and into the big school all by herself Crying I'm not ready for this!! I guess this will prepare me for seeing her off on the bus on Monday Upset

I know, she's getting grown up... in some ways I love it and it excites me but I just want to hold onto my little baby girl as long as I can Crying

I'm off to go pick her up now, where I will get what has become the customary over the last couple days..."but I'm not ready to go yet!!" Wink I guess I should just be happy that she's so happy at her new school and with the after school care program Very happy

Well, I guess she wasn't quite ready this morning as she asked me to walk her in again... I happily obliged! Very happy

I spoke to her teacher briefly and she put her hand on Aaralyn's head and looked at me and said "I'd love my job even more if all my students were like Aaralyn" Love awwwwwww, you know how good that made me feel I'm sure Smile Very happy

So have all the new students happily made it through their first week?!

Aaralyn sounds like she's made a real good impression at school Very happy

I know what you mean about wanting to hold onto them and not wanting them to grow up so fast! Charlotte didn't need walking into class this morning Upset I am so proud of her though, she seems to have settled in really well Love

Awww that's great that Charlotte is going in on her own! If all goes as planned, Aaralyn will be taking the bus from now on (although some days we may walk because her school is on my way to work and it's not too far a walk from there to work).

Thank you Sarah, Aaralyn always seems to be a favorate of her teachers.... because she saves all the naughty behaviour for me at home Crazy It makes me feel really good though knowing she's behaving at school and doing what's expected of her Very happy I hope it continues through out her education process!

And isn't it funny, they drive us nuts sometimes when they are so clingy and needy but then as soon as they start showing some "grown up" independence we wanna hold onto the baby in them Wink
