Thought I was dying!

OMG I havce just experienced the worse pains ever. All of a sudden I had these awful stabbing pains in my chest, I was feeling sick (although not actually sick) and feeling faint. The pain was unbearable. I tried mints and drinking cooled boiled water but it made no difference. I kept checking Joseph knew how to phone the ambulance. I think by doing this I frightned him and he started to cry but I noticed my mums friend was at home (I can see her house from mine) so I phoned her crying- mum and dad were out for the afternoon.

Anyway she phoned NHS24 and they told me to go straight to the hospital to be seen by the doctor.


Im now home and exhausted. And what was wrong??

oh bleieve me ive been there and done that one!!!! i was having acute pains in my stomach last night so bad i cried out, chris didnt hear me he was snoring in the chair!!!!

I frightened Gemma though.

I remember calling the paramedics when i thought i was having a heart attack, turned out to be a panic attack.

I was so frightened?

I went to my mums for tea and I picked at a few bits but never had anything really big and then the pain came back But this time I was sick but I still feel so sore in my chest.

I am staying at my mums because I am so scared at staying home alone.

I still feeling horrible and today I am really chesty and wheezy- I think I have a chest infection starting and don;t think it was indegestion.

have you pulled a muscle?

i did that and i got the worst pain inmy chest, it turned out that id pulled a muscle moving some furniture, but i know where you are coming from i have asthma and i get a bed chest sometimes luckily not too often, but i feel your pain hun, how are you today?

Oh no, i was hoping the hospital were right and it was just indegestion! Poor you. I hope you are feeling a bit better today? Xx

Did they do a chest x-ray??

They can pick up things on that, thats how they knew mart had had a pnuemothorax, because they could tell his lung wasn't as big as it should have been!

Alex, this sounds like they symptoms I get when my ulcer is playing up. I get pains in my chest, feel like I want to be sick and if I am actually sick that relieves it for a while.

I've got lansoprazolol (sp) from my GP which helps keep it under control.

Asthma has been all over the place all week but no more chest pains. Taking extra streriods just now and that seems to be helping
