Of total annoyance with your child sometimes Cuckoo

I know that can seem a horrible thing to say but I have to confess I do. Aaralyn has this thing of finding a phrase or a word and just repeating it over and over in different ways and stuff, total silliness on her part and she's cracking herself up while doing it, but my gosh sometimes it really drives me nuts!! Crazy

Can ya tell I've just encountered this situation Blink ??

Total annoyance yes! I even have times when I actually dislike my children, but that's only at time of extreme naughtiness.

I find the best thing to do in that kind of situation is to remove myself from the room altogether.

'I have a floppy ear'? Lol. Bless her! Believe me when i say you are not alone hun. They can drive you no the limits sometimes can't they! Cuckoo
Lolly has a habit of answering a question you've asked in in baby talk. It's normally when she has done something naughty. I will say something like 'why did you rip up that magazine' and she will answer with 'Goo goo ga be fe' or something similar, even though she is perfectly capable of answering me. Little madam! haha.

Yesterday took her to the park and we had come back eaten dinner, she said can we go outside said no, she asked again said we had already been and she said again!Kids the joys of having them lol

Ah, phew! Glad I'm not the only one!!

I have also shared experiences with the goo goo gaga baby talk (especially if she's around other babies, it's an attention thing even though I tell her I loved when she was a baby and I love her now that she's 5).... the mimicking or saying things back to me that I've said to her, I feel ya on that one jo-jo, that one drives me totally crazy (and she thinks it's funny as well, although she's not been doing that one much lately). And Kelly, hun, I'm sorry to say but the argueing thing (or wanting to do something you've already said no to) it only gets worse, but it does get better again, that's a phase we seem to be coming out of right now and I'm usually getting an ok mommy by the first (sometimes) second time I tell her that she can or cannot do something!

Ah, yes, they can be so exasperating!! Why they gotta be so freakin cute sometimes though!! and make you laugh when it's not appropriate to laugh at that particular behaviour Tounge Out I've had that problem too or other people encouraging it (UNCLE TOM!!! big kid himself!!)

But then there's those opposite moments that so make up for all the frustrations, right Wink

I am feeling your annoyance Tammy. Joseph has finally stopped talking in the baby language with a whiny voice. It was driving me up the wall Mad It is always after he has seen his little cousin that he starts it but everytime it gets more and more annoying.

Yea, the teenage attitude is very apparent in Aaralyn right now too! Of course there is some influence there for her Wink Halo
Hope this doesn't go on right through now to teenage-hood Shocked I just won't allow it, that's all Tounge Out

BTW Sarah, we stopped at a rest stop on the way home from Philly today and was in line at Starbucks (become a big fan of there frozen frapp shhh don't tell my old boss at Dunkin Donuts Suspect ) anyway there was a little girl that looked just like Charlotte!! they say everyone has a twin, well I have seen Charlotte's!! She was very adorable and personality to match!
