for my son,

we are only getting something small ( a toy aeroplane) but i haven't had a chance to get it as his always with me.

hopefully DH will pick it up today when his out, DS has said he wants a white aeroplane so i will have to let him know

we are getting something small as it needs to fit in my hospital bag which is already rammed

so my question is ...)yes there is a question not just waffle)

Did you buy a present for your other children from the new baby to encourage a relationship? and if so what did you buy? Was is expensive ?

I have only got one but my sis recently had her second, I don't know if she bought a present from him but I do know that she asked everyone to send cards to Jory (her eldest) congratulating him on becoming a big brother instead of sending Congratulations cards. He was absolutely made up and still revels in his new found family status. x

Yep we bought my DD a new pair of shoes when my DS was born (i know that's weird, but my DD absolutely LOVES her shoes!) we gave them to her when she came to the hosp to meet her baby bro for the 1st time and she loved them. She kept showing people what her 'lovely baby jakey' had bought her. lol. The card thing is a great idea too. we didn't ask people to send cards to Lolly directly but we did ask them to put a little message in the card for her and we read out what everyone had written. She was made up, and kept saying, 'i'm a big sister' to everyone for weeks! Xx

We are buying Jas a locket as she has asked for one. She has been spending her pocket money on buying things for her little sister so we're popping out on Saturday to get the locket when she's not around Smile

I think it's a great idea for any age to buy a little gift. I'm fortunate that I have a big age difference so I don't think I'm likely to encounter any problems. In fact, the only problem I have is keeping topping up her pocket money and trying to tell her to spend it on herself Very happy

we had a toy for casey from hayden, but it got mixed up in her xmas prezzies. to be fair she got a whole load of prezzies being xmas day.

when casey was born 'she' bought ben (lee's eldest) some cars.
