Ovulation Kits - Anyone used them?

Hi everyone. I am 26 TTC baby #1 and have been for 6 months. We decided to invest in an ovulation kit and avoid further guess work. We very much want a baby and are surrounded by others announcing they are expecting! I never knew it would feel this difficult.

Well anyway, I worked out i should do the first test 11 days into my cycle, it is now day 16 and up to now i have had a dark line and a faint one which according to the test means i havent ovulated yet (two dark mean i have ovulated). I only have one test stick left. Does this mean there is something wrong? Has anyone else had this experience.

Everyone ovalates at different times of the month. How long is your cycle normally?

Example if your a 28 day cycle day 14 is apparently the main day to try. You only ovalate for 1 day but sperm lives in you for upto 72 hrs so even if you had sex on day 11 or 12 it would be fine.

My friend used the sticks and she said she got through lots of them. Think its perfectly normal.

I tried for a long time as i was about to start ivf the day i found out i was pregnant so beleive me i tried and tested most things.

A year is apparently the average time it takes to get pregnant beleive it or not so try and relax, easier said then done i know

hi thanks for your reply. my cycle is 28 days. so day 14 was sunday, we havent been saving ourselves for the day but i definately wanted to try on that day as well. The test sticks are confusing because they lines have to be the same colour and its hard to tell. Glad to hear of your news and that you concieved without IVF. Keeps my spirits that bit higher. Everyone month is a waiting game!

i found the clear blue ones brilliant and was preg within the month babe
