How late during pregnancy can a miscarriage occur? I don't want to start telling people I'm pregnant and then just have to turn right around and say I'm not. That would be really hard. Sad Face Or is there a certain point in pregnancy that it's very unlikely to happen?

they consider the first trimester to be the danger stage, having said that complications can happen at any stage during your pregnancy.

I have told a few people about my pregnancy, but have decided not to wait until after week 12, if misscarige was to happen i think its unavoidable for people to find out, and as i said just because you have passes 12 weeks it doesnt mean its smooth sailing in all pregnancies. With my first pregnancy i spead the good news at 8 weeks, its just a personal choice I guess.

I would leave it 12 weeks if possible

Saying that i was busting a gut to tell everyone and also did at 8 weeks.

my first pregnancy i miscarried at approx 10wks and i had told people so when i fell pregnant again i only told my mum and we told his mum aswell as we were stayin with them and i was 6 weeks gone an suffering from sickness and couldnt eat alot of the food they knew i loved but they didnt know about the mc so they were telling all the family and celebrating and i only told my supervisors at work and 2 of my work colleagues as i worked on the check in desks at the time and you sometimes have to lift bags so they helped me out there

they usually say the first 12weeks are the most crucial but a misccarriage can happen at anytime my friend who basically tells everyone im his big sis and we have a bro/sis relationship his ex found out she was pregnant just after they broke up and their daughter was stillborn at 6 months (was due 15th june this year) so anything can happen its upto you whether you want to tell people or not. id suggust telling the people that are closest to you personally where you live/work (maybe your supervisor or manager at work) and then if anything happens they know just in case and they also can keep and eye out and help you with things.

I was wondering that too?? Have you had it confirmed yourself yet hun? I'm afraid you're going to be setting yourself up for disapointment if you start telling people before you've confirmed the pregnancy for yourself yet.

It's confirmed and I've missed my period this month. I'm going in for a blood test (on the 30th) to be sure before I tell my mom. My aunt's gonna help me pay for the test.

I told him we have two options: keep it, or adoption. He said abortion. Shocked I don't want to loose him because of this disagreement!Sad Face But there's not a cold chance in heck I could bring my self to get an abortion. I just can't do it. Tounge Out I'm scared that he'd leave because it would make it harder then it's already gonna be, but it's probably something I'll have to do which scares the crap out of me. He told me he was excited not a week and a half ago! I wonder what changed his mind? Crying

Oh dear sounds like an awful time at the moment. Sounds tome like ha may have got scared suddenly for some reason? Maybe he just realised the responsibility it is having kids? I would try and sit down and talk it through if i were you. Ask him why he has changed his mind from a week ago? If he stays with this stance then i'm afraid this relationship really wasn't meant to be and you are most definitely better off without him. Just make sure you aren't railroaded into anything. Do whatever is the right decision for you. Good luck, i hope things go ok. Feel free to message me anytime Xx

He's probably scared, but either way don't let him talk you into doing anything you don't want to do. My daughter's father broke up with me the day I found out I was pregnant and he wanted me to have an abortion... I said NO WAY!! told him he could walk away and never look back but I was going to have that baby.... We now have a beautiful 5 year old little sweetheart who he loves dearly.... He's not the most responsible dad (but more responsible then some) but I know he loves her dearly and probably feels very bad for having wanted me to have an abortion... What it boils down to is you do what you think is best for you and the baby and hopefully the dad will come around and be there to support you through what ever choice you make.

I thought you had already told your mom about the pregnancy and she was ok with it? Either way, I hope you're family is there for you!

my ex wanted me to have an abortion the time i miscarried and i refused point blank and after a couple of ays he came round to the idea and i then lost the child unfortunately but it made us more prepared when i fell pregnant a 2nd time (unplanned.. yes i managed to have 2 unplanned pregnacies) if not im sure you have a great network of friends and family who will help you out whatever you decide and remember it may seem scary at the time but you adapt to doing it alone and i get through the bad days with a hug and kisses from my duaghter and knowing that her dad is missing out on this is his loss and not mine or hers

any one can fill a pram but it takes a real man to be dad (i got told that by someone and it kinda stuck with me as it rings true in many ways)

i think you are running before you can walk. Does the pregnancy test confirm that you are pregnant?

If so, you need to weigh up the options. Take a hard look at what they are. If abortion is not an option then just realise at 17 you need to live your life.

Im not saying that young mums are not good mums but what im saying is that you need to discuss this calmly with your b/f and mum.

Please dont make any decision you will regret.

BTW I am pro-life unless there is no other option regarding a child that would have no quality of life.
