theyre asleep at the mo, but im worried olivias going to wake in the night, panic and get really upset.

I dont envy you.. Its hard especially when she's not your own. if she wakes up just tell her if she goes back to sleep mummy and daddy will be there in the morning to see her and if she sleeps time will go quicker and tomorrow she can call her folks and speak to them.

I don't think so, it's a bit more of whether they are used to it or like it. Jas loved sleeping over at friends houses or family. It was a big adventure. If she has a friend over I do them a 'bed picnic' which is great fun. They sit in her room and have a supper together. It's all little bits like slices of apple, carrot, a few crisps, cherry tomatoes, etc and they love it Very happy

I've had a similar experience to you with one of her more 'whiney' friends some years ago. I tried to be nice when she started stamping her feet saying she wanted to go home and demanded I take her there (Jas was asleep and got woken up!) and I ended up telling her to behave herself and get to bed before I got really cross. Suffice to say I've not invited her again and actually, Jas didn't want her back as she thought she was rude.

It's a big learning curve with the wonders of sleepovers and something I didn't do as a child but it can be fab fun for you and the kids.

Good luck with it all Smile

ah thats a shame hun, she might just be a bit of a whingy child our not used to staying out.

If we go out (which isn't very often lol) we are careful who we leave George with because he's a bad sleeper and a whinger - only leave him at one of our parents and then we feel really bad Embarassed
