Wish us luck!! Potty training!

We are attempting to potty train George this weekend!

I'm not getting my hopes up as Charlotte took a few attempts before she got it and he's still not very happy about sitting on it, but, he's showing positive signs he's ready so here we go lol.

He's aware he's wet and he wore some pull-ups which he loved because it was like waering 'big boy pants'. Unfortunately the pull-ups are on the big side so when he weed today it leaked straight out and he was really upset he'd peed himself. When I got home from work I left him without pants and nappy and before long he was throwing a nappy in my face and telling me (in his way lol) that he wanted it on, then peed on the floor which is showing he knows when he has the feeling to wee. I put him on the potty after he weed but he wasn't happy so we will see how it goes Suspect

good luck hun but tbh i think he's a little young to start hun and if he still feels he needs the security of a nappy to pee you mite be dragging it out longer then it needs to be hun - have u tried sitting him straight on the toilet if hes scared of the potty? some children go straight to the toilet rather than using a potty.
a huge tip is dont use pll ups! LO will feel they still have the security of a nappy so there will be no point in trying to train him hun. pull ups are a big waste of money tbh - if ur gonna go for it then go for it!! go straight to pants and dont look to a nappy unless u are going out for a long time or going to bed unless u are confident that LO wont wet the bed Smile
CHarlotte was dry during the day in 2 days at 2yrs old but wasnt dry at night for a while afterwards!

have fun though lol im dreading potty trainign thomas! Razz

Well Charlotte was 2yrs 4 months before she was trained but was dry through the night pretty ,much straight away after she got the hang of the potty Very happy

I don't think much to pull ups either tbh, but I've had them for ages as DH got them by accident once when I sent him out for nappies Wink and as I'm low on nappies and its not shopping day until tomorrow I'm taking the opportunity to use them up lol.

I know he's still quite young and being a boy he is meant not to get it until going on 3 lol, but I'm going to have a go as he's pulling the nappies off when they are dirty...much to my DH's horror this morning finding 'nuggets' all over the living room Gag

Charlotte didn't get it the first time, or the second for that matter so I'm not under any illusion he will get it first time, but I'm going to see how he gets on Smile
