OK,OK,im gonna sound really dumb but here goes!!!Last night i went to bed and woke up around 3am with really strong pains Shocked I woke my DH and told him what it felt like and he timed them for a while but then we fell asleep again. This went on untill about 6am now they feel like they are easing of and im feeling pretty normal again??
When i went into labour last pregnancy i had no pain.I got woken by my waters breaking, i got to the hospital (with minor contractions)was fully dialated but had to have a c-section(breech)and that was that so im a bit worried im gonna miss the signs??I still have a little while to go 6wks but i had Vic 5 1/2 weeks early. My DH wants me to stay home but today is my out day lol Very happy I have to take my DS swimming do my weekly shop then im going to see my mum as she has a few days of work im the type of person that never sits still.lol
Im thinking this was just a braxton hicks episode???

Blink I must have looked at Fiona's when I saw that... and my excuse is I didn't get to finish my cup of coffee this morning before I rushed out of the house so i'm not fully awake yet... Wink

Nite nite hun (so funny to say since my day is just starting!!)

I had a long run of braxtons that were really strong on my due date with George, some real ones in there too but I knew they weren't strong enough and they tailed off.

Four days later I went into labour. I was always told hun, if your unsure it's the real thing then it 99% chance it isn't. I was told by a mw when I was having Charlotte that you will know when you are in labour because it will hurt differently to braxtons or tightenings, which in my experience it does.

see mine was the opposite when i got my braxton the other week they hurt more than proper contractions thats why we was getting ready for an ambulance but after 6hours they just stopped. lol

OMG last night i was in so much pain they came back worse than the other night.I got scared as i dont really have anything to compare them with??I also had alot of pressure/sharp pains down there i honestly thought my little boy was trying to escape!!!lol
I also noticed mucas last night(clear no blood)????I woke up this morning and they have once again eased of (but are still present) Suspect
I cant go into labour its still to early and i have my SIL baby shower tomorow PMSL.

I feel so dumb but i am pretty sure its braxton hicks (i think)lol:crazy:
but im still going to call my MW just incase.

I never had any Braxton Hicks with Jas. I remember feeling quite jealous that other people at antenatal were getting them but then I was watching TV one night and bam!, waters broke and Jas arrived 3hrs 20mins later and I had my baby first at 34 weeks Very happy

I'm told you can start contractions early and they are mild but usually you see the mucus plug. I can't comment on that as I saw no plug at all and wouldn't know what it looked like if it bit me on the nose Embarassed

Keep us all posted Kiss

When I had braxtons I felt them on my bump and a little in my back - all I can describe it as was as though someone blowing up a balloon inside me and it was pushing my belly out and out and I could feel it stretching and stretching and stretching.

Contractions were more sharper and in my hips and down below, with Charlotte in the tops of my legs I felt a pressure a bit like someone sitting on me and George I got that pressure in my back and peaked for a lot longer.

Hope bubs satys in there a little longer hun
Kiss

I had really strong braxton hicks with both pregnancies,my midwife told me I was very sensitive as just touching my belly set them off,and sex so that went out the window, all I can say is you wont miss the signs of real contractions as they are painful but wont go away, keep us updated but I do know braxtons are a good sign as its your bodys way of practising for the real thing xxxx

I had very strong braxton hicks that started quite a few weeks before i was due and permanently kept thinking he was coming.

To be honest they felt like the first stages of labour to me looking back on it!!!
