I'm with BT but want to change, my contract finishes on the 15th May. I pay 45 a month for line rental, broadband and extra for phone calls to cover my bill. My aunt went with talktalk but I've heard mixed views on them and not sure.
Who is everyone else with?
Decided to go to Sky!Getting Sky tv on the 19th woo dunno when I will get my net as my contract with bt is till the 15 May and who knows how long it can take to sort out!!!!
So reason why I wont be online after that if I am not!
im with virgin i pay £20 for phone and broadband

I have heard a lot of bad things about the Talk Talk broadband but mainly admin related. I use them for my phone calls over my BT landline and they seem ok for that. Check out
www.adslguide.org for a comparison of ADSL providers where the feedback is based on users comments.
I use ZEN (www.zen.co.uk). I pay extra for a few things being a techy geek (as some would put it) but I have had only 2 losses of service in 5 years.

Also be aware that if you switch over to someone new, you could end up with a crap service and you'll be bound to it for 12 months, and if you want to switch over again within that 12 months, you will have to pay them off the remainder of the contract. I am with BT and have had maybe 2 problems in 8 years. Not bad going if you ask me. Eclipse are supposed to be pretty good, the only thing that narks me with BT's service is the lack of English tech support ( being a pc engineer myself is frustrating to tell the guys on the phone what the problem is, to be told to do 100 things with my pc first...*sigh* ) other than that, I rate them quite highly.
we were with bt for over a yr,then moved to talktalk who we were with for about 4months then switched to ntl who again we were with for about 4months - then switched to sky - we were with them for about 8months and then moved to vodafone!! we pay £20 a month for 10meg broadband and phoneline which we can call any landline and any vodafone mobile for free 24/7 - non of this after 6pm rubbish!
we never had a problem switching before the contract is up - you just have to know what to say - as kev works in the offcom industry he knows exactly how to work em!

im with BT and never had a problem. I have recently changed my phone to Hydro Electic because they offered a better deal than BT. I pay £17 a month for my broadband but have had my speed and download updated so many time I forget what I have now
I'm with virgin. I get 2meg broadband and tv for £22 a month (its just gone up).
Watch out for some though they say 'upto' which means you don't necessarily get what is being advertised

They all have to say Up to, as not all areas can support the full speed advertised, if they say you will get it, then you have to get it at that speed. It's to cover their own backs...We pay for "up to" 8 meg, but we only get 4. Bout time BT put lines in everywhere to support the higher speeds, as BT own the lines in the first place, they should upgrade them....
We have BT Wireless, and pay extra for unlimited phonecalls - it's expensive and we are currently discussing using another provider.
We used to have AOL - but they were useless and took money left right and centre from the account took me 8 months to get £160 refunded.
Tried TALKTALK - They too were just absolutely dreadful - a few times we couold not use the phone for a few days at the time due to some noiseon the lines.
Changed to ORANGE! These were by far the worst - could not use the phone or get onto the broadband! 8 weeks later they sent us a bill for £78 - we refused to pay, they got a debt collector after us who eventually write it off as they could not provide any evidence our lines had ever worked.
We still think BT rip you off as their pricing is way over the top
I've heard quite good things about Tiscali and Virgin
It's such a hassle!!!!!
Just to add, we are happy with Virgin, we've had it for almost 2 years and the only problems we've had is with the TV rather than the broadband.

This is from another forum ( Not parenting but gaming forum ) I attend, and this is just one of the many posts about Tiscali
"tiscali should wear masks , hold pistols and rob pretty ladies of their jewelry from their horse drawn carriages"
Not a good response to Tiscali really. Virgin have come under fire also. I think if you have a good service, then stick with what you have, as you have seen ( and experienced, sadly ) moving to another is'nt always the best policy.
I'm with sky and so far haven't hsd any problems (touch wood) We pay £26 mth for tv broadband and phone.
Another happy Virgin customer here - We've got the 20Mb package as we're all internet geeks in my house
I don't have a landline phone at all - I never used the thing when I was on BT, and just use my contract mobile.
Have recently changed to Sky - have the tv etc - so it's only £10 per month - Alex was paying it before (don't think he noticed - over £30 per month and it was cr*p)

I personally during living with my Mum and
DP have been with talktalk for about 3 maybe 4 years! The only problem I have had with them is the fact they aint English so don't always understand you 100% nor you understand them but apart from that the highest bill we have ever had was £30 a month!

Our bill normally comes in at about £23 max now, lowest we ever had was £22.31 and considering with line rental and extra charges for caller display it's a minimum of £22 anyway that's pretty impressive lol
