Hi guy's,while JP was off line i had a little drama so here goes,I woke up one morning feeling really sore i also started getting pains (really strong period like pains) and alot of pressure down below.I lay down with my legs in the air for a few hours but they kept on coming???????My DH came home from work and we rang my MW she said it might be braxton hicks so i stayed home and kept my fingers crossed that it would all just go away!
By early evening i was getting these cramps every 1hour or so i panicked and started bawling as i still have 15 weeks(then) to go,so i rang MW and she told me to go in for a check up which revealed that my cervix has softened quite a bit Sad Face
I am now going every week for check ups and i have packed mine and the babys bag's i have been told that "any thing can happen" but i know this little boy will hang in there for as long as possible every week he stays put is a blessing,my gyno is scaring me im not allowed to drive to far (by my self)lift etc etc...and he also mentioned inserting a cervical stitch or web/net?????? has anyone had this happen sorry guys i just want reassurance i guess. My MW has been great she is the only one that keeps me calm.lol
Im now due in 12/13 weeks.

Oh jo jo big hugs hun!! He's gonna hang in that belly for a while!! And hun if he does come early, the medical expertise that is available now is incredible when it comes to premies, he's gonna be ok Kiss .... you just might have yourself a tiny little peanut that will grow into a handsome young man like his big brother.

Hang in there sweety Kiss

Awww babe. You hang on in there Kiss Kiss

I have heard of a cervical stitch but more in the context of people who have had multiple miscarriages. Found a bit of info here for you but it does apply to MC more but mentions softening of the cervix.

A friend of mine's sister had her baby at 25 weeks. He was just over 1lb in weight but although he spent a long time in hospital, he was just fine in the end Smile

Put those feet up and relax as much as possible. I hope all will be ok. Try not to stress (easier said than done I know).
