breech
i posted a topic about wanting a c section so i could be sterilised, i went to see my consultant yesterday and they agreed on the sterilisation but i had to go back to see them when i was 37 weeks, only there was no appointments until 10 days before my due date, which is pointless because my daughter was born at 38 weeks and they said this one will prob be early too. anyway, after a good cry last night (i found a couple of strtch marks on my hips) and a good chat witht the beloved i come to realise something.. y the hell do i want to be "out of it" on the first day of my babys life then laid up in a hospital bed for 4 days all by choice.
so normall birth it is and cutting of the tubes a couple weeks later..
that was until i seen my midwife today..
my baby is breech and if hes not turned by 37/38 weeks i'll be offered a section anyway and if im not, i'll bloody demand one haha cos i aint giving birth to a breech baby lol

aw both my girls was breech but they both turned thereselves thankgod.hope u get the birth u want
Charlotte was breech until 37 weeks and then turned, but the mw was telling me I'd need a section most likely as she was convinced she wouldn't turn lol.
George was head down from 31 weeks and began to engage at about 34. So no worries about him lol.
she said theres a chance he could stay breech til im in labour but if he hasnt turned by 38 weeks then im not chancing it due to my first labour starting with no contractions or anything til my waters had broke then 3 hours later it was all over.. i live 40 minutes drive from the hospital, theres no way im chancing it

I don't blame you hun, I was induced with Charlotte but more or less started straight away (even though they kept telling me it was just starting pains) on my notes my labour only lasted just over 3 hrs. With George I went straight into full blown labour after 7pm and he was born at 9.52pm! I live 15 mins from the hospital but thank god I had him at home lol, the mw literally got there to deliver him lol!!

Sounds sensible.
Aww hun so sorry. baby still has time to move, mine is breech too and im 36 weeks plus 2 days now got a scan on weds and if he hasnt moved by then it is section for me, so wanted a natural birth but what will be will be, aslong as he is healthy thats the main thing, have my fingers crossed for u
to tell you the truth im not bothered, if i have a section i can be sterilised at the same time, save going back after the birth
its mad though isnt it how they are head down then decided they dont like it so turn back haha.
i hope your baby turns for you though so u get a natural birth xxxxx

thank you hunni me too coz i so dont want a section lolxxx
will your doctor give you the choice of trying to turn your baby before def deciding on a section? would u not consider a normal breech birth? i know personally i wouldnt but it is an option

they did offer me that option if he dont turn, but i refused because it is not a very nice prodedure and its not 100% that baby will turn either, also read a story online from a lady that refused it and went ahead with a section, and when baby was born he had cord round neck twice thats why he didnt turn, so has kinda put me off that idea.and not a chance do i want a natural breech as my mum had 2 and they had to slice her back to front to get us out so dont really fancy that either tbh.

this was exactly my point on your other thread!! i had no choice with my c-section with ethan, its something i wouldnt wish anyone to have and il be doing my very best to make sure i go natural this time round (unless theres complications of course!!)

My friend has a beautiful girl now who had to be born by section despite 2 attempts at manual manipulation as well as yoga positions, raspberry leaf tea and acupressure. Izzy (the baby's head) was actualy stuck in the rib cage an dhad to be forcepped out of there. My friend had been adament she didn't want a c section so was done at 40weeks but now says that at least she knew there was no chance of a natural birth.
well done to your friend - most c-sections involve forceps - mine did too! was a horrible feeling as i thort they were gonna pull my ribcage out haha!!
whos ur friend? are u on about bonjovi or someone completely different?
