Hey Rhiann, around 33ish weeks into my pregnancy I started having high blood pressure and swelling in my hands and ankles, they tested me for preclampsia and I didn't have that. Shortly after that I got a call from my Dr to come to the hospital to have some blood work done. That was on a Monday afternoon, by 10:02 that night Aaralyn had been delivered by emgercency c-section. I had a pregnancy related illness called acute fatty liver pregnancy. It is pretty rare and glad that my Dr decided to have me come in and get tested for it because at that point my liver was over 50 pct fat and was getting ready to into liver failure, but presented no other symptons other than high blood pressure. You may suggest to your Dr or MW that they check you for this. It just so happened that Aaralyn's heart rate dropped drastically due to the stress my illness was causing her in the womb, if my Dr had not ordered that blood work done and I hadn't happened to be at the hospital that night, neither of us would be here right now
So, I hope I don't have you scared to death at this point but I would suggest asking them to do the blood test for acute fatty liver pregnancy. Are you having any pain on your right side, more than normal??
