Afternoon all,

You will have to forgive me if my posts seems soo similar to others on here or naive at time but I suppose we all have to start somewhere Smile

Im 29 years old and happily married for 5 years this August. My husband and I have recently made the decision to start TTC but I have no idea where to begin or even what I should be doing to help nature along in the best possible way.

I bought a load of ovulation tests last week and tried to find out when my ovulation time was but the tests didnt pick anything on the days i had calculated so I guess I got it wrong Suspect

How do you guys manage not getting obsessed with thinking every time you and your partners get some time together that this may be "the" time. Its only our 2nd month of trying and i have no idea how long these things take lol

I think the best approach is to relax and not make sex a chore. When me and my hubby decided to try for no.2 we said no sex just because it was 'the right time', but because we wanted to. It did take us 11 months tbh, and some months I did feel sooo disappointed when my period arrived.

I started to eat healthier and attended the gym, and within 2 months I'd fallen on, so I do think it depends on being fit and healthy too as well as having sex around ovulation.

I'm afraid I never used an ovulation test or properly worked out when I ovulated so I can't give you advice on that, sorry.

Good luck TTC x

thanks for that. I am trying to eat healthier as is my husband. We have both pretty much given up the alcohol and pretty much eat a low fat diet. As for joining a gym I think i will skip that bit I hardly have enough time as it is now without having to fit that in but I will make a conscious effort to go for a walk of a weekend and try to relax and not make this a big focus on our minds all the time.

Well tbh, I joined and then had to cancel due to being pregnant Wink so it is probably best to skip the gym heehee Very happy

Me and DH have both joined a gym but the gym I go to you only have to give 30 days notice to cancel... keeping my options open Smile
