NOT FOR A LONG TIME in this house.

I know the DVD/TV combi you like I saw it- but he will grow out of it quickly and want a new one (IMO it is just a gimic to get people to spend money)

I dont like TV's in childrens room, if he wants to watch TV he can watch it where I can see what he is up too

Im not really for tv's in kids rooms. although if it doesn't have an aerial going to it that kida kills my argument. I dont like the kida of kids being able to watch things late night. does he have a room that is mainly for his toys, could it go on a little table where he usually plays, get him a mini chair or something, it wouldnt really matter if there actually was a tv in the room anyway, the novelty of it would be fantastic for him!!!

I made the mistake of putting a tv in Aaralyn's room when she was about 2 and I wish I hadn't!

One good thing about it now though is it can be taken easily out of her room when she's not being a very good listener and it's got a lot of leverage with just a threat of it being taken away.

She doesn't get up and put on the tv in the night though, I usually put a children's dvd in for her to fall asleep too (again, I don't recommend starting that as a habit either Tounge Out )

In retrospect I would not have put it in there until she was older. I edited to say that the reason why I wish I had not started it because sometimes it is an argument at bedtime to watch another show or another movie Wink That's when a threat to take the tv out usually works though Smile

Charlie has had a tv in his room for about a year and TBH he hardly watches it, it was a waste of money really.
To stop him from touching it though it is up on a bracket on the wall.

my intention is that cara wont have a TV in her room for a long time - certianly not as a toddler - its just the way I want to do it - she has her times for watching TV, but bed time is for going to bed Smile

ethan wont be having a tv for a VERY long time - i just imagine it iverting the kid from the whole idea of sleep time.my neice had a tv from about the age of 3 and shes always been a bugger at night as she knows she can watchtv! plus then theres the thort of what they may be watching in the middle of the night!!! Shocked

i had my first tv when i was about 12 - but cuz i never really had one before that,it never interested me to watch at bedtime and more than anything it was used as a night light lol!

We aren't putting a TV in Charlotte's room until she's older. They watch TV first thing in a morning in our bed until we get up or while they are waiting to get bathed.

She has a Vtech computer that she got for xmas but it is downstairs with our computers.
