recycling

Do you do your bit for the enviroment by recycling?

We have a composter and recycle all the packaging that we can of which there is far too much in my opinion.

What are we supposed to do with all the excess packaging that manufacturers produce?

I got my new dryer delivered yesterday and its in a cardboard box, plastic wrapping and polystyrene as well. We have to try and get rid off it but it must be a hige drain on landfill Suspect

plastics, glass, paper all recycled (have a box from the council but I hate it cluttering up my already untidy house so I take them up the skip to the banks)

Council collect garden waste & paper/cardboard from home for recycling. Be handy if they collected the lot but I have to take our plastic, glass & cans to recycling centre in town.

Does anyone recycle batteries & lightbulbs?

We have a compost bin and a green bin which we can put our recycling in but they only collect it once a month and its bursting all the time which is a pain as its quite windy where we live, so it has got a big paving slab on the top of it so the contents don't end up all over the street!! Suspect

We have three bins in our pantry which we take to the recycling centre ourselves for our glass, papers etc and cans

we have 3 bins at the moment. 1 for garden waste. 1 for household waste and 1 for paper recycling.

we have heard rumours that Fife council are going to introduce a 4th bin for plastic recycling but haven`t seen any proof of that yet. I`m not really sure if we would manage to fit a 4th in our garden Confused

i do all the recycling i can & composting etc. i hate though disposable nappies. i've tried "real" nappies but can't get on with them. Looking forward to potty training so i can stop using nappies.

We try to recyle at work but no one ever has time to take it to the banks at the local tip so it just ends up mounting up in the corner!
