Night waking

My Daughter is almost two and she has been waking up everynight for the last almost two weeks. She has drop her day sleep so I thought she would be tired at night. But nearly every night she wakes at about 1am and stays awake for 2 hours. I'm so tired.

At first I thought she was teething so I gave her all the stuff but I'm out of ideas now.

Can anyone please give me some advice.

Well perhaps she wakes up and finds it hard to get herself back to sleep again?

Also when she's awake for the 2 hours do you get her to lay in bed or does she get up to play/eat? Perhaps she wakes up and thinks it'd be more fun to get up and play with mummy then to go back to sleep.

I'd make sure she stays in bed, let her look at a picture book or listen to some quiet music on a c.d. Doing something quiet and calm may help her drift back to sleep....? Sleep

I have experienced numerous sleeping difficulties with Candra. I now have sleep insomnia. Your daughter's sleep habits need to be nipped in the bud before she developes more problems later. Are her lights completely out at night? If not, turn them out after she passes out the first time she falls asleep. Or maybe she is not getting enough energy out during the day. She may be going through a growth spurt and might need the extra exercise to tire her out for the night. She's also probably craving more independence and what better time to do things by herself than when your asleep. (or so she thinks).
