Can I take anything for a cold?

Apologies if I am being thick but can I take anything for the stonker of a cold I have got up with this morning?
Perils of being a nursery nurse, kids have sniffles I come down with a stonker of a cold!

I always take Paracetamol to perk me up when I have a cold, stops me feeling so heavy and dopey. That's fine in pregnancy. Otherwise the chemist will be able to advise you

I used a bit of albas oil in a bowl of hot water and just breathed in the steam to help me with the bunged up nose and had honey and lemon if I had a sore throat, HTH and you are feeling better soon x

paracetamol is what i was told to use but i asked my doctors about hayfever medication as it said to consult doc before pregnancy and he just told me its cos they havent been able to test the effects on pregnant women so they dont know if its safe and told me it was up to me if i took it or not if thats any help for you.

Feel much better thanks, went for the albas oil suggestion really helped unblock my nose!
