I am new to this site as a member but I have visited many times before. I am currently putting together a book for a friend who is pregnant for the first time. It may even be helpful now that Im pregnant with my third child. I am trying to get as much feedback as I can regarding all the different challenges we face as mothers and of course parents and how we have gotten through. If anyone is interested I can send you an e-mail with more information. Anyone who contributes and info is used will get a copy when its finished. Please let me know.

Hi Nicole, is this a book to be published or just for a personal reference for your friend?

I also found the "What to Expect" books very helpful during pregnancy and through the first year after birth.

It is a book I would like to get published. I believe if it comes together the way I wook like it would benefit many mothers/parents.

I would like to first see how it turns out though. My main point is to put it together for a few of my friends specifically one of them who is really stressed out. i have no problme with it being small. i guess if more people would like it then I may have to take it to the next level.

Hi Nicole
I think this is a fantastic idea! The "What to expect" books are helpful in many ways but I found them a bit too, how can I put it?, scientific sometimes. The first one was definitely better than the New Baby one but it would have been nice to add a bit of parenting humour, if you know what I mean. So what kind of parenting advice would you like to publish? The scientific route, the funny one or a mix? Also, do you want to "explain it all" or give a real impression of how parents and parents-to-be survived? I would definitely want to contribute, if I can, so let me know, what exactly you are looking for, how long it should be, with pictures, etc.

i had 'pregnancy & birth' i think that is a brilliant book! i also brort kev a dads book - thats great too - its so comical and looks at parenthod from the males point of view!! i read it and it was hilarious yet true!! i cant think what that was called!

i think there are enough parenting books out there - so its really got to top em all to be a hit.
