That's awful. I'd go back to the school with this and tell them that you do intend on involving the police. Remind them that while your child is in their care, they have loco parentus and that it is in fact their responsibility to do something about these girls. Have their parents even been called? If they can't or won't help, you're well within your rights to go to the police.

Well I had a horrid time of it myself at high school so I get really angry when I hear about kids having to suffer like that. Get your camera phone out and take pictures of messages left in places if you can find them and get any other evidence you can. If your daughter has a camera phone or digital camera she can use, get her to sneakily take pics of them in action. She must be really scared and ignoring it won't make them go away. Try getting her into self-defense classes. If the violence escalates she might well need it.

i agree here. yr poor daughter. girls can be right bitches. keep us informed hun. and dont give in. take it as far as you can, even if it means involving the local papers too

this exact same thing happened to my neice! i posted somewhere on here about this - dunno if you read it.

she was being taunted by these girls - mainly one ring leader and the others were just doing as the ring leader said! it stated off with names, then got to threats and twice she was beaten really badly outside of school.anyways - cutting a very long story short - the police were involved - the girls no longer thought they were big as the police scared them and they apoligised to my neice - and they are now all friends!! although it wasnt as short as this as it was a very hard time for my neice as you can imagine and my sister - it went on for about 4months - they even used to find out where she was going out play or if she was going up town and they would follow her and taunt her!

kids can be the evilist little Angry s on the planet - but she will get thru it - with the help from the school (who in my oppinion were useless!) the police and if u personally apporach this girls mother.

my little sister went through bullying because she suffers from a very bad skin condition they kept calling her names but she kept a diary of everything that was said by what person what day the occassion and time place evrything and then took it in it took a year but she stayed strong and dealt with it and it all got sorted they was kicked out of school for 6months she still gets the odd name said but she learnt how to deal with it and has become so much stronger shes now going through the first year of G.C.S.Es and wants to be a social worker.
keep on at the school they will do something eventually
