How has your baby changed your life?

Hi everyone,

New to the forum so apologies if this is totally in the wrong place! I'm a writer working on a story about how having a baby has changed a parents life. Has anyone here started a new business because of thier baby? Or had to move country because of thier baby? Or totally changed lifestyles?

I'm kind of in the middle of changing my life due to my little boy, I'm just about to give up my regular work to become a freelance writer full time! Anyone else got a story to share?

Thanks everyone,

Zoe

Good for you going back to college a couple of months after you had a baby! And for your husband too! This is just the kind of thing I'm after Smile

i had only just turned 17 wen i had my son, he nearly 11 now, things changed a great deal, i could no longer go out like i did, stayed with the dad, not no more but thats a diff story lol, had my own flat and omg wat a change that was from comin from home with my mum 2 being alone with a baby as his dad worked long hrs and did not help, things got hard wen i found out daniel wasnt a well little boy, he had and still has a bleedin disorder, we spent most ov our time in hospital but i got used 2 it and it dont bother me any more, split up with his dad moved house, love it where we are now, went back 2 college in fact im still there, i love bein a mum, daniel is 11 at xmas and i wouldnt swap it for the world he is my baby and always will be even tho he got a babd attitude at the moment, i put that down 2 his age and the fact he just got out ov hospital again but things are good Very happy

I can't imagine looking after an 11 year old, my little one is only 4 and I can't think about what he'll be like at 11!

That must be so stressful, I really feel for you! Explaining a child's health problem to new teachers must be hard, as well as all the hassle of starting a new school...you have my sympathy!!
