think it normal hun tbh, im 19 weeks preg and still think summin is going to go wrong, when u want something so bad u fear the worst , just a natural instint but im sure everything will be fine, try to keep yourself busy to keep your mind off things, and the time b4 your scan will fly by.

This is my first and I have been really worried as this baby is very wanted. I have spotted for two weeks and at 11 weeks I am finally getting to see a midwife I am sure my county service sucks

Where do you live? You should have been admitted to the Early Pregnancy Care Unit when you started spotting, I'm sure it's fine but even I was rushed in with cramp!

I still panic now this is my first and everything worries me, my Midwife here has told me it's perfectly normal and not to worry just to enjoy it - I know easier said than done!

Live outside Leicester so classed as Leicestershire. My GP was "These things happen do not stress as that makes it worse and do not do bed rest as that has been proved not to work". I found in a preg book that spotting around the time that you would have had perios is normal as your pregnancy hormones are not as strong as the monthlies. Tomorrow I have decided that I am going to put up a fight to get my scan oprganised asap as my friend in has had to wait 3 weeks after seeing the midwife the first time. I just do not think this is good enough.

It can be normal but I'd still have insisted on making sure everything was ok I can understand your worry - I'd give em hell hon until you're satisfied, it's your baby and your body you know what you want.

Aw hon being scared is totally normal. This is where it all begins! I was constantly worried about my bump the first time, then after she was born my worries doubled LOL - this is what they mean by mummy worries!!!

I think it just means that you're preparing to be a fab, caring mummy xxxx

This pregnancy has been a bit of a bumpy ride (heh heh heh gettit? Bump? Very happy) and I did panic on occassion early on. One morning I woke up to spotting (I had had it for two eeks but thought it had finally stopped). I phoned the midwife at the early preg unit and basically told her that I believed I was no longer pregnant and that I was gutted. She gave me a scan within half an hour. I think you get what you moan for in this world.... be mean and be assertive - get on that phone girl!!!

U should have seen your midwife before now, you normally have a dating scan at around 12 weeks. im sure everythin will be fine tho, i know how u feel, this baby was v wanted and i think you naturally worry about stuff even more when u want something so badly. Smile
