At what age

Do you take your kids to the dentist?I have an appointment in 2 weeks for a clean/check up and i was thinking of getting my DS checked out aswell he has great teeth and looks after them but he has never been to the dentist does anyone know?

i dont think theres a right or wrong age hun. my niece has been gonig to the dentist since she was 18 months old, just to get her used it more then anything.

Thanks hun i think i will take him i guess its better i take him now so if he freaks out its no big deal coz its only a check up.I think when they go to school they go twice a year so i will take him to let him get used to it.

they say round here as soon as they get teeth to take them mine have been going from about a year at the least
dont think u can get it worng babe the earlier the better they dont get scared then

I was told to take Joseph to my next appointment after his forst tooth came through- helps get them used to going, so he has been going since about 8mths. I would take your LO- phone dentist and let them know and they will get a card etc ready for him

I need to get mine in, Charlotte is 3 and never been

I'm not registered anymore as our surgery went private and at the time I couldn't afford it. I need to go myself my teeth need a good clean and I'm sure I have a hole in a molar

I think I will give them a ring first thing tomorrow actually!

we tried to get lottie into our dentist with DF when her teeth started appearing they told DF to bring her when he has appointments but they wont see her til shes 5yrs old - then we saw a different dentist who tried to look last yr but she screamed the place down!

I've never taken mine to the dentist yet as my dentist has a full list, but now that Summer has started school she will get hers checked there.

mine both had their first checks at age 2, then every six months i take them now.

he'll be ok hun as long as he mummy doing the same so he knows it wont hurt

my DD comes with me to the dentist on my check ups and he checks her for me she not registered but he just has a quick peer in cos i hate dentists so he does it i think so she thinks its ok and normal kinda thing so he checked her mouth when her first tooth come through in like apr/may

I haven't taken Aaralyn yet, soon as I get health insurance sorted again that will be the first appointment I make. She loves to brush her teeth though and never forgets LOL...
