bottle,pram and dummies
who here thinks its wrong to still give ur toddlers all that and who here still does when ur toddler say is two or 3.well i dont think prams are too bad when they are 2 when ur goin to town and that but dummies and bottles i think is wrong when they are 2 mainly 3.kieran stopped havin a bottle when he turned one and for juice he drinks from a fruit shoot bottle, dummies he does still have at night but when he turns two ill be takin them off him.cus i see ppl in the street with 3 year olds in a pram drinkin juice from a bottle and a dummie in the other hand it just doesnt look right.sorry to the ppl that does that but why? xxx
Think it is a personal choice of the parents tbh, my kyle was off bottle @ 8 months purly as he would not drink milk so gave him juice water etc in a cup , but he had his dummy till he was 2 when we put it on the christmas tree and father christmas took it so he could leave him gifts (never looked bk). As for his pram he was out of it @ 2 aswell because i live in a 1sr floor flat and it is very hard to get up and down the stairs so i got rid of it.
But i do think each person and child is different but 1 thing i cant stand seeing is babies drinking tea/juice out of a bottle with a teat on
that is the only thing that i think is wrong but once again their parents choice.

I don't like it when I see big children out walking in town and they have a dummy in their mouth,it looks silly. As for bottles well I think it's ok for them to have their milk in a bottle while they are toddlers but I never put juice in my two's bottles full stop. I can understand some children being in a buggy for quite a long time if their mums don't drive coz the kids can't walk everywhere while they're still small. Thing is I think we all have friends who do things with their children at different stages than us. For example my friends oldest daughter is the same age as my oldest but she didn't start potty training her for over a year later than I did with my DD. I've got another friend whose oldest is also the same age as my oldest and she uses a double buggy for her two, whereas I never bought a double buggy and used a buggy board briefly then my eldest walked everywhere. Different people have different ideas and priorities I guess
i think its wrong how parents are judged to be honest - id never complain if i saw a little one with a dummy, bottle or whatever... children grow at their own paces.ethan is one on saturday,he has a bottle of milk for bedtime.drinks juice from a beaker and still has a dummy, and as he still aint walking - is obviously still in a buggy.u shouldnt judge people by what u see,as far as your aware, the little ones u see could have development problems or anything.
kids are growing up way too fast these days as it is,having children thereselves before its even legal to have intercourse,so to me,theres no problem in somebody wanting their LO stay little for abit longer.

Cait never had a dummy, don't like them. She had a bottle til about 2ish, but she had it at night to get her off to sleep (stupid thing to do) but she came off it fairly easy. She is still in her pram, she does walk round town now and then, but holds our hands for a while then wants to run off, so if she runs off she goes back in her pram. I don't drive atm so its hard to say no to the pram because I have to walk to most places and it can be hassle sometimes when shes walking. I don't like seeing school kids in prams, seen this a few times and its pathetic because they are old enough to walk.
i wasnt judgin ppl i was askin other ppls thoughts on it,i wouldnt just go wow thats a big baby to be havin a dummie/bottle.in my thoughts i always thought it was weird to see that, cus in my eyes its sort of a newborn thing for a bottle up to 1/dummies up to 2 and prams i dont really know.it just gets on my nerves when someone is on the bus with a 3 year old in a sissor pram while a person with a travel system wants to come on but cant cus the one with a three year old doesnt bother foldin it down and i thought its true about the whole thing if ya dont drive cus i dont drive and i find it sooo hard not to have the pram to keep kieran in one place im gonna miss it.i didnt mean all this in a bad way yes ur right parents have differnet thoughts about it and i just wanted to know them xxx
