Who has had problems with their young ones climbming over them...I did but no

t now....

Yes when mine got to about 18 months old they worked out how to put things up ti them and climb over, JR even learned how to open them
In the en i had to take them down because it was safer them not been up

My fella ended up making a (well looks like barn door) LOL, on top of the gate with a latch..Looks an eye sore, but best to be safe than sorry...
i only have one over my kichen door and so far neither of them have mastered climbing over it.i have caught cara standing on things in an attempt to climb over tho so keeping an eye on that
Charlotte never climbed over hers but learnt to undo it - we had to go out and find one that even me and
DF had difficulty opening to stop her from learning to open it - luckily now we have a flat she doesnt need one!

Joseph learned to open his aswell- to clever for their own good
haven't used them with dd3 and 4, yes they've fallen down the stairs a couple of times each but on the whole they've learned pretty quickly how to get down safely (they're up like a rocket as soon as they can crawl, if not before, lol) I did spend a fair bit of time saying 'babies go backwards' and hanging around... mostly I would have used a stairgate to stop dd4 from going upstairs and trashing her big sisters' rooms, lol
we have 3 safety gates still in use one inbetween the room and kitchen ( doesnt get used much)
one at the bottom of the stairs ( dont get used much)
one top of stairs always closed on a night and when the babys loose upstairs.
when jade can walk and try climb stairs then the one down stairs will get closed .
had gates up since aimee was 5 month old
